Welcome to Blackwood’s Magazine! This, however, isn’t anything like the Blackwood’s that Edgar Allan Poe told you about. We specialize in indie publishing, lesbian news, and literature of all kinds.

The written word is a powerful thing. It can bring order to chaos, and it can shine light through darkness.

“Fairy tales are more than true: not because they tell us that dragons exist, but because they tell us that dragons can be beaten.” — Neil Gaiman

Our mission at Blackwood’s Magazine isn’t just to share the written word, but to show how writing in its different forms can create a better world. Writing is a manifestation of love, and it should be shared.

Our motto is: Love is as love does. Love means whatever your heart tells you it means. Love means God, family, friends and strangers.

“Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.” — 1 John 4:7

  3. Hi, thank you so much for following my blog πŸ™‚ I must say that your blog is very eye-catching and I love the tone of it. I also must admit to not knowing much about lesbian literature, as the only book I have read in that genre is “The Well of Loneliness”, so I look forward to having my horizons broadened! πŸ™‚

  4. Have you read Monica Nolan’s “Lesbian Career Girls” series? I just finished Lois Lenz, Lesbian Secretary. It was fun! The review will be up next week. Then I’ll have to get to Bobby Blanchard, Lesbian Gym Teacher and Dolly Dingle, Lesbian Landlady, and Maxie Mainwaring, Lesbian Dilettante. πŸ™‚
